So, is it just me, or does so turn up unnecessarily more and more these days?

So I thought it was time to start a thread.

So over to the PH grammar police hehe

It’s not a new thing.

I think you’ll find youngsters have begun every other sentence with it for about the last ten years!

Yes. Just another example of millennial speak. Can be used to start and finish a sentence, so.......

'Like gets used a lot. 'Basically gets used a lot (thanks for making it simpler so we mortals can understand).

"My bad". My 'bad what?

Perhaps the greatest of all though. When asked a question, you can get "Yeah. No.". Well, which is it then?

I usually reply with seeds, cloth and what.
Then when they look at me like i'm an idiot, explain that they said so, as in sowing blah blah

Usually creates an argument but what the heck.*

* And yes, i am sure there is plenty of grammatical errors i make that irritate the living daylights out of people and i am happy to accept my faults

The expression "so so" means mediocre at best.

When I hear someone gushing over a child "I'm so so proud of them" I assume they are being damned with faint praise.
