As JAYB didn’t give the last volume a number, I don’t see the need to give this one a number either.
The last volume seemed to have quite a bit of activity since lockdown started.

That is absolutely outstanding. The hot tub one not so much. I don't 'get' hot tubs. Don't see the appeal of having a bath with your mates https://www.meine-insel.at/our-boats/?lang=en
How about a BBQ boat instead then?

I have a load of bit gathered together to make a wildlife island that floats. Planning on putting plants on there etc. On hold at present until the ducks have buggered off to pastures new. Now wondering how easily I can turn small wildlife island into floating BBQ platform Scrump said:

The second was 'More frivolous purchases, stuff you don't need...'
Perhaps this should be 'Yet more frivolous purchases, stuff you don't need...'?
I purchased a 3d printer recently. I covered this in prior editions.
That lead to me printing out a Mandalorian helmet (for the boy, ahem). My printer isn't large enough to print in one go so I will have to build it afterwards. This has lead to the purchase of multiple types of glue, sanding and finishing equipment. Whilst looking at how to finish this off I spotted someone with Star Wars droid models, then an AT-AT. They mentioned that the models were Legion scale. It turns out Star Wars Legions is a tabletop game with miniatures.
So I ordered that, something to do with the boy.
The figures are unpainted and unassembled so I have now had to buy some paint, brushes and other assorted modeling kit.
It has to be 30 years since I painted a miniature.
Wish me luck.

Nice! Local gaming store group are trying to get me into Legions... I'm resisting so far! That lead to me printing out a Mandalorian helmet (for the boy, ahem). Great paint set there - vallejo are lovely to use.
I'm sure you've seen - there's loads of awesome tutorials on YouTube, starting with the absolute basics through to really advanced stuff. I'd recommend getting some games workshop washes - they're liquid talent...
Also, feel free to come into the Warhammer thread in the Models sub forum - some really good painters on there to help give advice and feedback.
Thanks, looked like a good balance of quality and price. It was all Citadel and Humbrol in my day.
I used to be pretty good, worked in a model shop for a few years and the guy who owned it was a national prize winner for military dioramas. I learned a lot. We made our own washes! other things like dry brushing, highlights and lowlights all coming back to me.
Found a load of old Warhammer and 40k stuff in the loft which my son has adopted. That can come next.

Very nice. I used to paint warhammer as a girl, therapeutic I found. I've little patience for it now though. That lead to me printing out a Mandalorian helmet (for the boy, ahem). If you get fed up of the mando build you can buy the prototype Fett helmet from next month I think. As it's white it will make a good base for a Din Djarin lid.
