Lewis' dress style did not impress according to this article.

It seems to suggest in the article that they would have offered one but he wouldn't of worn it.
Yep, just read that. I first read this on the BBC Sport site, where there was no mention of an 'offer'. So he'd rather miss the final than wear a jacket and tie? Plonka.Edited by Deisel Weisel on Sunday 12th July 21:51

What a prize tool - tens of thousands of regular people queue for hours every morning over the course of the tournament to get the tickets that are available to the public (for any court or match that they can get a ticket for) and this idiot gets an invite to the royal box for the Men's Final and can't be bothered to follow the dress code?! Bell-end....http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/tennis/wimbledo...

Excellent, standards should be held high, and should not be compromised just because you are highly paid celebrity who has managed to be both a weapons grade bell-end and massively boring, well done Wimbledon Oh dear.
I'm a huge fan of Lewis, but it sounds like he really has made a complete fool of himself today. If he misunderstood the dress code, he should have just worn the jacket and tie provided, or asked his PA to pop into Wimbledon village and buy something suitable.
Sadly, this will provide an opportunity for his critics, led no doubt by the Daily Mail, to have a field day.

To be fair, would you want to follow the rules of a club who's spokesman converses with the press as such;
A Wimbledon spokesman said the requirements would have been on the invitation and a jacket and tie would have been offered. “They’re obviously not of a fashion that a stylist probably thought was right for Lewis – that is our surmising,” he said.
Obviously and probably don't really belong in the same sentence. Having said that, it would now appear obvious he probably should have read the dress code on the ticket.
