So many "dont want to cause a fence" thoughts happening right now, must resist to avoid a block from her.

I think they should have the 8 yr old translate, whoever has the phone has worse language skills than an infant.

We shared a boundary with social housing (it was theirs)

They fancied a taller fence (so did we)

They thought if they wrecked it, the housing association would replace it

They didn’t

I ended up doing it

I didn't see any nasty comments, just lots of people tagging councillors and suggesting the soon to be ousted MP could help (she wouldn't even if she could).

One chap suggested a chain for the dog, another said get one for the child too, it was quite restrained, unlike the child and dog.

She won't be happy because nobody has come to her rescue and told her they'll build her a proper fence for free.

I reckon the motorway was there before she moved in.

On the basis of no evidence at all I have formed the strong belief that there is not a motorway at the other side of that undergrowth, just a suburban dual carriageway, probably with a 40 limit.

Indeed. However you can quite clearly see a fence.

Do we know if there is a motorway in the area? My 4 year old says motorway when it just means busy road

Indeed but she wants someone to clear the bracken as well while doing the new fence for her.

There is, the area as a whole is bordered on two sides by different motorways but most of the housing close to them is recently-built private stuff. There's only a handful of council houses that are on the edge.

I wonder if the Highways Agency or whoever operates the motorway if they own/operate this land have a duty of care to make it safe. Just like one would expect with a railway.

There's a fence. Standard HA-type post and rail fence, looks like at the top of the embankment. She wants a close-boarded garden fence, almost a noise-barrier. She should pay for it herself, the illiterate .
