My first pair of Vans since I was a teenager

Compared to my usual Nikes it's like wearing anvils on my legs, they are so heavy

I do love the styling though

I've been coveting these "Knu School" ones for a while, I'm just waiting in the hope they bring out a black pair with the black soles but the white vans logo on the side rather than all black.
I succumbed.

I've owned one pair of Vans my whole life - a pair of Rowley XLT from 2001. They were by a mile the most comfortable trainers I've ever owned. The material is now all screwed and the sole has gone rock hard. They were also massive compared to everything else I owned at the time!

nice ZX above - I used to have the turquoise / purple / yellow but the "torsion tunnel" is too narrow for my feet

Two recent pickups I'm very happy with...both were on sale for only about fifty quid. Not bad for Nikes these days, and they look good with shorts for the summer.

I was in my local designer clothes shop when they had the first deliveries of these in the area back in the late 90's. I bought a pair on the spot. No-one else had them for a while. Friends took the piss saying they were rock climbing shoes etc. Then they went 'viral' and everybody (including some who previously took the piss) was buying them.

I'll be buying the white/black pair out of nostalgia.

Bought the recently released blue pair too.

I'd be tempted to put pink laces on these.

AJ1 "Dutch Green" being my inspiration behind the idea -

Love those.

I think they could do with ever so slightly wider laces.

I'm tempted by these or the speedcats. I never got them in my teens as I was a Nike fanboy so I need to make up for some lost time.

Was literally about to post these!

I really have to start trying to behave on the new pairs, SWMBO is starting to question me...

If anyone is after some new and almost new asics and Diadora made in Italy in a size 10UK, let me know...
