Anyone into trainers/sneakers? (Vol. 3)
Discussion
I used StockX for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago. Not to line the pockets of a trainer flipper, but to buy these Air Max 1 Chili 2.0 at under the retail price. I missed out on them in sale back in January but kept thinking about them because I liked the colour scheme. Including fees, I got them at what was the sale price in most UK sale back in Jan - about £99. After all these years, it's my first pair of AM 1s and I'm very pleased with them!
It's a shame as they're a nice shape of shoe. I personally don't think the quality is as good as the older MiG SONRA, but def better than equivalent leather Nikes for example.
They've had a few misses lately, the Type B 'BREDS' still available in a full size run. Why he thought that was a good idea...
Another thing that put me off the brand a little is the fact all of the old MiG were numbered. When they made the move to PT production, the first couple releases were supposedly limited but not numbered, I called him out on it and he basically just said 'yeah I forgot, next time'. It wasn't until the third release from the new factory, did they start putting a number on the underside of the tongue.
Lastly, the boxes have changed in quality too, MiG boxes are more solid and had an extra logo'd flap inside.
Anyway, none of the above will stop me buying a colour way I like, I am just no longer waiting at the exact release to time to buy every new pair.

These arrived today, I was surprised the grey on them is actually a suede-type material which is a nice contrast to the leather silver bits. Some nice details, logo on the back is a solid plastic bubble Air Jordan logo.
Best thing about them though is the solid metal Jordan "Jumpman", I'd missed that when I bought them but's it's a very nice thing (not that I'll be walking around with it on the shoes )

I have the high version (the co.jp) and I'm too scared to wear them because I suspect they'd be ruined within 15 minutes of sliding my feet into them Best thing about them though is the solid metal Jordan "Jumpman", I'd missed that when I bought them but's it's a very nice thing (not that I'll be walking around with it on the shoes )

Oof, I forgot they did a high! I went for those when they came out but missed them, I have the Blue pair and the Burgundy pair that are similar instead. I seem to remember certain pairs of the silver ones came with a special box didn't they?Edited by Exasperated on Monday 10th June 21:04

Yeah, I think the silver ones and blue ones were the only ones without the red/black box. I also have the greens, but missed the burgundy ones.Chicken_Satay said:

I've just done exactly the same (almost). 1st time using StockX and also gone for some Air Max 1's. Went for the University Blue colourway though...the-norseman said:
They turned up yesterday!
Size sent the wrong ones, I have returned them but put on the return form that they are the wrong ones and to send yellow ones, what is the betting they just refund me.
So even though I sent them back asking them to send the correct ones they just refunded me, went back on the website this morning and the yellow ones are now discounted so I have ordered them again, bet they send the white/grey ones again.
