So my Cortez arrived, I have to say I'm very impressed. Buttery soft leather, great QC and nice details like the embroidered Nike on the tongue. Also, I'm a 10 so expected these to look like clown shoes however they look really good, I had to actually check the label as they look much smaller than I expected rofl

How do they look on your feet, In. Your opinion?

Like you the Cortez was one of the first pair of Nikes that bought as a teenager. Thought they were amazing until I got them home and on my feet, they looked like a pair of zeppelins.

I know exactly what you mean. I don't think they look as "blimp" like as I remember but they've always looked a bit stunted due to the toe box. As I said I'm a 10 so pretty long in the foot and I'd say they are just the right side of a clown shoe but if you have smaller feet that lack of length to balance the height might be an issue.

Having just tried them on to see if they look like zeppelins, they are tight. I'd be tempted to go half a size up, my big toe is brushing the end of them and they're very narrow. I'm a 10 in everything Nike related, these are the first pair that feel a little snug. I seem to remember they stretch so I'm sure they'll be fine but if you're normally snug in a Nike size I'd go half up.

I havent bought any new trainers for about 2 years now, got around £50 boxed pairs under my bed that get worn for nights out etc, mainly Adidas, think there is 1 Nike and 3 Puma.

However my Gym/everyday trainers (new Balance 500) are now starting to look poor so they have been downgraded to the garden trainers now and replaced them with these.

Found a discount code for them.
They turned up yesterday!

Size sent the wrong ones, I have returned them but put on the return form that they are the wrong ones and to send yellow ones, what is the betting they just refund me.

I also took advantage of that deal, absolute bargains on those and the triple white and makes up for the pair I lost to the dog being hungry and them being within snatching and destroying distance biggrin

I am a massive fan of retro looking trainers, but to me these look like orthopaedic shoes from back in the day for people who had one leg longer than the other.

I did see a cute girl wearing these on the train last week, but she is a cute girl so can get away with wearing anything.

Did you try them on, at least? I've been unusually taken with these for the past month or more and I frequently contemplate buying a pair, so would be interested in hearing your thoughts.

I didn't, I ordered 11.5 was tempted to try them on but didnt get round to it. They did look decent quality though, the box on the other hand was just a brown box, bit boring.

I like retro Air Max 1 and tend to wear running type shoes. Bought a pair of Jordan 1 Low in the Chinese year of the Dragon colours as I thought it was a great looking shoe.
I’m always 10.5 in Nike. As it turns out, this style of shoe is too big, even with insoles added. I step out of them. Will need a 10 instead.
Off to eBay when there is next a 80% deal on seller fees.

I am not familiar with it, no but I would not pay that much when I could buy a pair of Zilli or Silvano Lattanzi albeit not a croc pair.

It is a slippery slope, be careful in that price range biggrin

I really dislike the branding on the Zilli, this is why I buy Loro Piana.

The Silvano Lattanzi are not for me. There is not one situation where I foresee I need a pair of shoes like that.
