Forrest Gump shoes! ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
I have a very worn pair that were 30th anniversary - stitched 72 on the left heel and 02 on the right, from memory.
Ah those were the ones I passed up! For a while, they had a very similar pair that was made with breathable leather (Ultra Moire) which were really nice but again I passed on them and then the whole colourway disappeared. I picked up a pair of Epic React Flyknit's in the same colourway to make up for it but always wanted the Cortez.![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)

Will be my first non MiG pair so hoping quality is on point.

The people in the German factory contacted me a cpl days ago too, asked me what my favourite colours are? Fingers crossed I might get a true one off pair.
How tf have you built that connection? Hats off to you tho, especially if you get a one off ![biglaugh](/inc/images/biglaugh.gif)

Nike have a 25% site wide offer on for members plus, on these, an initial 20% off. Couldn't resist at almost 50% off.
Juniper Trail 2 Goretex.

Love that colour. Are they the react sole in the trail 2?Juniper Trail 2 Goretex.
I was in Nike today and spent over an hour trying stuff on. For my feet, I find the react and the zoom x soles to be incredibly comfortable.
Only reason I was there was to return a set of beaters that I use for walking the dog. 5 months old and the toe is poking out:
Was told wear and tear, no refund or credit note. I showed her the sole, which shows minimal wear and I was also wearing a pair of Romero 15 that I bought at the exact same time. I showed that the Romero were fine but she said the Romero were a premium shoe....to which I showed her the app to show the 'cheap' shoe was £59.99 and 5 months is a bit disappointing. Still no chance of a refund.
I'm not one for throwing a wobbler or storming out of the shop in a huff, so true to form, I walked away with my tail between my legs and went off to browse the merchandise

To be fair, she was only about 20, a bit of a queue started so I just cut my losses.
Anyways, spent some time trying stuff on and the react and zoom soles just feel amazing so I bought the trail 4 gtx in phantom colour. Hard to resist at half the RRP, £69.99 they were selling for.
There was the trail 3 gtx there as well and I preferred the colour scheme but they had a weird fitting where in my normal size 10 my toes were pushing tight and then the 10.5 was a bit too much space.
Really happy with these though, superb comfort and perfect fit.

The connection came from a gift box they gave me last Christmas. I emailed them to say thanks and we just started talking from there. I saw in one of their factory tour posts a while ago they showed a huge number of hides in the background and just steered the conversation towards that topic.

You're a salesperson's dream. Go in to complain and get your money back, come out having spent more money than you started with ![biglaugh](/inc/images/biglaugh.gif)
I'd probably have done the same tbf.
Absolutely ![biglaugh](/inc/images/biglaugh.gif)

I had visions of me getting my money back and walking out with a lovely brand new replacement pair. My dream was dashed however by the Thatcher like sales assistant who 'was not for turning'
My only solace was to get the new trainers anyway, to keep the flame of hope I had in car journey there.
Funny thing was, when I went to buy them, of course my turn in the queue led me to the exact same sales assistant once again. I felt a bit awkward, a little bit like this Ben Stiller scene, getting owned by the airline assistant. Yeah, this was me:

Complain on their online chat. I think you will have much more success!
Thank you, I'll give that a tryMy daughter needs a new pair. I might take her this morning. Will justice be served and I find the same sales assistant who refused my refund yesterday? That would be a little bit of poetry.

I havent bought any new trainers for about 2 years now, got around £50 boxed pairs under my bed that get worn for nights out etc, mainly Adidas, think there is 1 Nike and 3 Puma.
However my Gym/everyday trainers (new Balance 500) are now starting to look poor so they have been downgraded to the garden trainers now and replaced them with these.

Found a discount code for them.

Has anyone got any of the Nike Waffle One / Waffle SE range?
They look like a good summer shoe, a bit different to usual Air Max or Stan Smiths.
Just wondering if they are comfortable or if they have any quirks, unusual sizing etc.

I have a black pair, very under the radar really but IMO a decent looking sneaker. Size wise they seem to be spot on. Not by any means uncomfortable but bear in mind not really a bouncy/cushioned sole. They look like a good summer shoe, a bit different to usual Air Max or Stan Smiths.
