Beautiful day here in the Thames Valley. Sunny, breezy, no more than 19 degrees, perfect. Laundry dying nicely.
Yes looks like a brief day of sun in Surbiton
Saturday is looking good too, which is unusual.

Yeah just seen that.....two nice days either side of a wet day......typical given I'd planned to have an afternoon in the Corvette/Atom with my mate tomorrow, but not in the rain!

Pissing down tomorrow apparently.

The naming of this thread was a mistake, it has utterly cursed this "summer".

We think he was banned for saying some, let’s just say, fairly controversial things on other threads hehe

Colin hated warm summers. He's certainly left his mark...

I am only hopeful that we'll get a late summer or a few weeks of better weather, maybe in August or even September. It does seem like seasons have shifted to later in the year.

Has been raining overnight and is just a miserable, slightly windy, overcast and a bit of a cold day down South

I think that’s what we all hoped last year and it didn’t materialise. Just turned into a 10 month winter.

A work boat party on the Thames next Weds, then Goodwood FOS on Thursday......come on, give me some vaguely positive news?

Anyone using the MetOffice app have you swapped to the trial data?

It gives quite a different result. It's clear from the radar there is rain coming. Normal data says 20% chance at, 6, 90% chance at 7. The trial data has it coming in much earlier.

Be interesting to see what happens.

Last year we did our normal boating holiday on the Norfolk Broads with the dogs. That was at the start when it was 30+.
It wasn't pleasant at all for us or the dogs and we resorted to taking all the opening windows out of the boat to get some airflow.
Hope we have a nice September, but nothing as extreme as that as we're booked again for Sept !

Taking 2 weeks vacation starting Sunday and we’re going into the 30s , that will do nicely.

No Friday evening BBQ for me in the South East, also tipping it down here. Been raining on and off most of the afternoon and coming down pretty heavily now

It's tipping it down, it's dark and rubbish. God this is depressing.
