It's miserable down near Reading today. About 15-17c roughly but feels horrible. It's grey and overcast, and was spitting earlier.

I'm so sick of the UK weather. I know some like it but I'm just depressed with it.

I'm going to look into working (remotely) in Bali for a month or two later in the year.

Yikes. The fact it barely moves overnight is what would do me in for sure.

For me...."not raining" is the baseline for good summer weather this year.

Turned out way better than forecast in Deeside. 20 degs, direct sun.

Even had to put on the sun cream whilst outside gardening, then got a bike ride in, in summer kit! Yes!

We’ve been in Germany and it’s been very humid, and raining while about 22-25°. It’s meant to dry out later in the week though, and we’re off to Slovenia and Croatia.

What's happened to it?

I live in the North West of England, here we are, July 1st, it's cold a raining hard outside.

I reckon there has been no more than six or seven nice warm dry days all through April/May/June.

Come back 1976.

No no the first few months of the year beat previous heat records, it's been drier than normal, these temps are about average but we had a warm June last year etc etc etc

Yes it was better before the introduction of Electric cars, I figure they must be causing global cooling.
Just looking at Wimbledon here on TV. It must rain there soon always does in these two weeks.

And how many nice days since June 28th 2023 (when the weather broke after last years heatwave). We’ve had, bar the odd day, basically a year of non-stop rain.

However we will be told it’s record breaking hot, and despite the UKs insignificant emissions that we should just pay more tax. That’ll fix it.

On the positive side you get 20-30 minutes more daylightcloud with your sunset being later than down south

Yep, pretty much. Nothing but cloud today, but 'it's not raining' so I am working from garden table.

Slipping from this weather, straight into Autumn and then back through Winter is going to be a hell of a thing to try and mentally get through.

A staggering amount of places around the world are absolutely smashing through their historic all time heat records every day at the moment.

We happen to not be.

Doesn’t mean it isn’t happening elsewhere. It may do one day to us.
