It's a strange day here in Ayrshire, 16 degrees but heavily overcast and threatening to rain.

Walberswick beach, this morning.

Dog for scale.
I was at a funeral in Suffolk yesterday, Ship Inn Levington for the wake. Nice part of the world.

I’m still *fuzzy about the breed but I think I’ve guessed his name, ‘Smudge’?

You might also check the background for wild, exotic birds such as *parrots

Banned.

Anyhow, it's a glorious day here in NE Suffolk.

We're off in this to watch some pretend knights bash themselves silly at a country fair.

I knew it was supposed to be warm but it still feels like it snuck up on me, one of those one where you have no energy. All I've done today is wash my car and nap.

It has come out of nowhere. I had the U11s cricket game to run this morning as was standing there at square leg thinking my neck is getting burnt, I don't often burn except when caught unawares on the first scorcher.

Probably the warmest day of the year here? Perfect timing as we spent all night in A&E (all fine) so ended up sleeping most of the day and missed it. Pants.

One forecast going to 26 here tomorrow which is fairly getting up there for Aberdeenshire. Plenty of clegs (horse flies?) on the go today, hoping the dragonflies emerge soon as they almost solve the problem overnight.
