Was planning on washing the car today.

Thunder and heavy showers all morning so far.

Not currently raining but it looks very grey.

Utter ste in Surbiton. Hosting dinner tonight, would usually have been a bbq this time of year. Instead going to do slow cooked short ribs.
Went to a farm shop and asked for some. They said they don’t stock them in summer as people don’t usually cook stuff like that. Maybe they need to rethink that this year.

Like April here. One minute sun is out, then massive shower, then the sun is out, then massive shower. Cold, Grey, nights start drawing in in 5 days time.

It's lovely when the sun comes out, which happens just enough to remind you what you're missing!

We’ve got lots of family round for a BBQ tomorrow. We planned it in April and signs aren’t great…

Sat typing this in the dining room, and it's comfortable!

Wearing a fleece.

With the heating on.

Nursing a large snifter of some Irish. listening to the rain battering against the window.

Should I put up the Christmas decorations tomorrow?

We’ve managed to spend a bit of time in the garden today, which has warranted the opening of some rosé. Still not exactly wall to wall sunshine, and a bit chilly when the clouds come in, but compared with recent weeks, we’ll take it.

Smells like something, not sure it's summer.

Today was an improvement though.

Turned out lovely in Preston this afternoon!
Week going forward looks better, not great, still some rain but getting warmer.

Looked quite promising 05.30 this morning, walking the dogs.
Grey clouds rolling in now, though Foreca app says it'll be fine.

Yesterday afternoon was the first time in weeks (well back into May) that it felt like a genuinely pleasant British summers day.

And it still rained for a couple of hours.

Didn't get any rain at our house in West Berks, but the air didn't feel cold. I think I burned the top of my head.

I often find the day starts pleasant but then by 7-7:30am has turned to ste. Often wondered if there is some scientific explanation.
