98% of all stuff has been concieved, created, developed,
And invented by whites, men mostly, Europeans mostly,
The global majority have been responsibilty for the remainder,
Shocking innit ?

We are lucky that sound doesn't travel through space

The roar from the sun would deafen us.
More likely we would have evolved to take this into account. Although a space that could propagate sound waves would likely cause all sorts of other issues and the universe as we know it wouldn't exist at all

Two that surprised me…

It’s not possible to drive from North America to South America

There are only really four “Great Lakes” and Superior isn’t the biggest.

"Drive" is not what Blashford Snell did in Darien. Quite shameful that central america is not yet connected together.

It took a team of over 60 British Army Royal Engineers, plus a support crew with pack horses and helicopter support to bring in supplies and spare parts, 99 days to drag the two Range Rovers the 250 miles through the Darien Gap. Forward progress was mostly made by an advance party cutting a trail through the jungle followed by lots of winching, and use of rafts to cross rivers.

And their currywurst is famously excellent.

Having heard this, I felt obliged to try it in their staff canteen while visiting VWFS in Germany on business. Maybe you have to be German to appreciate it.

I believe that is for good reason! i.e. to make drug smuggling harder.
