I lived in DC for a little while, and i used to go in and out of the buildings on the hill, but i never ran in followed by my mates...

I was only 19 when i lived there and at that time DC was the murder capital of the world I think (1989) . I carried a large knife. I would walk into the longworth/cannon buildings on the hill carrying said knife. I would hand it to security as i entered the building through the metal detectors and they would give it back to me. They were not scared of knives!
