Taking her phone off her is very mature.rolleyes Your are lucky you are not getting it removed by A&E right now as that's what she should have done.

My O/H can check my emails browse my messages whenever they so wish, it would not bother me in the slightest but then again I hide nothing in my relationship. You kicking off suggests you have something to hide.
I confiscated the phone and told her in strong language that what she did is just not on.
hahahahahaha

What is she, 13. years of age. To funny.

I recon the OP might be in A&E right now. I mean seriously... taking a phone from a woman. That's our life line for god sake. Phone, makeup, shoes and bags are things you never touch or take away.

Silly boy indeed. rofl

Caught my mrs browsing my facebook on the iphone, reading the messages from my female friends etc.
There was nothing incriminating on there but that really pissed me off in principle.
I confiscated the phone and told her in strong language that what she did is just not on.
To make a long story short she is now upset with ME and is not talking to me unless she has to...
WTF!?

Have I overreacted?
I suppose I made myself look guilty in her eyes by reacting so strongly. I have nothing to hide but it doesn't mean it's ok to read my personal inbox. I never read her messages whenever she leaves her mailbox open on my pc. I never browse through her text messages on her phone either.

I do believe that if you are looking for something you will find it eventually though...

It pisses me off that rather than apologising I am the guilty one now. Not sure how that works but if she keeps that up I am tempted to throw in the towel.
Hello, may I be so presumptious as to ask how old you are?

I'm guessing about 12?

Either that or you met your missus at the 'special needs' school disco.
This is indeed very presumptious and ironically doesn't speak highly of your mental age either...
No more age related pisstakes will be dignified with a response from now on just fyi
Ok, we've ascertained it's not an age related problem that makes you look retarded. Good.

Next questions.

Do you dribble lots?

Do you constantly try to eat your own faeces?

Funny thing is, the OP asked the question 'have I over reacted?' and most people think he did. However, he then defends his over-reaction. So why ask the question in the first place if he's not prepared to consider an alternative view?

I wouldn't get too concerned just yet. From the sound of it, the silent treatment she's giving you at the moment probably isn't motivated by anger.

More realistically, as a result of your absurdly dramatic hissy-fit overreaction, she's probably just trying to figure out whether you are gay and for some reason using her as a front, or whether in fact you too were once a girl. All you need to do is resist any urges to complement her shoes, borrow her handbags or empathise with her period pains and you should make it safely through to the other side. Getting her pregnant later this evening may well help disprove the second possibility as well.

You want there to be more like him?

You think he's ready for fatherhood?

Has the government stopped the programme of sterilising people like the OP at birth?

Its not just about secret messages with woman though, Could be mates asking advice, Sensative medicle problem? relationship problems, All things i wouldnt want the Mrs being party to.
Do you really use Facebook for things like that?

Apart from organising a surprise for her, I can't imagine any scenario where my wife would need to be kept in the dark about anything I'm involved in.

Different strokes...
Quite... yes

It's checking out someone's private messages which makes it an invasion imo
Absolutely! It has nothing to do with whether or not one has anything to hide. The plain and simple fact is that the woman in question accessed information that was not addressed to her. If she suspected that there was foul play she should have been an adult and asked the OP up front, not take his phone and snoop.

When I was a child my father told me never to read anything that wasn't addressed to me as I might find out something I didn't want to know. People keep information private because some matters are indeed private. It doesn't mean that one is being unfaithful, is amassing billions of £s in an off-shore tax haven, that your parents aren't who they say they are, etc. etc.

I don't think I'd be too pleased with her doing that. In fact, I know I wouldn't be. My OH acts like this sometimes, it p**es me off.

She obviously had access to it. If he wanted it to be locked and private, she shouldn't have the password. If the PW is "saved" it's his own damn fault. If she hacked it, why is she so desperate to get in? People don't randomly suspect foul play when the OH has done nothing to cause it.

Well i have seen plenty of mates join facebook and close their accounts simply because they've cheated (a lot) and girls have tracked them down. OP, has she got any reason not to trust you? Have you emailed any females that you only know through facebook? How would you feel if she had messages from men you don't know? I'm not judging you because i don't know you, but if you have nothing to hide, let her find out for herself. Unless of course someone has asked you specifically to keep it a secret (and you aren't slipping that person a length)

So your OH has been reading messages in your inbox? or messages in general?

You do realise, if your Facebook account isn't private, anyone can look at it confused

If you left your phone lying around, logged into Facebook, you only have yourself to blame
