ebay.
Chinese supplier.
Job done.

The dresses from wangweishuo753 are simply amazing in quality and detail.

Made to measure in whatever colour you require. Averages about 4 weeks turnaround for dress to arrive by EMS.

Used them (although not through ebay) many many times and never had an issue.

Hope that helps some.

In Hertfordshire.

Cheers!
Re, Bridal shops
There used to be a place in Dunstable, all sorts of colours, I don't know the address but can look up google later.
Also try Leighton Buzzard, the shop up a little alleyway by a wedding cake shop does lots of colours
And Ampthill in the high street, they do Watters and others, Watters favours the paler colours.
Message me if you need more info/

After the first few times, didn't you sit down and think that marriage isn't for you?

Reverse that - when did you last go to a wedding where the bridesmaids looked awful? Generally they're scrubbed up well and are smiling & happy... and that always makes good pics smile
Oh God, do you want dates or pictures? Podie keeps a folder in our Photos file for the general amusement of blokes who pop round... hehe

With 20 weeks to go, my missus still has not found bridesmaid dresses that she wants her girls to wear.
Slacker. My fiance had the design finalised (from a selection) 10 months out! wink

Anyway, without being able to be specific other than preferred colour (minty green), are there any girls/boys who have managed to source dresses from unlikely places. Or does anyone have any contacts who make them?
Through Ebay you can find dressmakers in China for absolutely no money whatsoever. So I am led to believe. The quality is also pretty high. A test wedding dress was bought in from China last year and the amount of work that had gone into it, for they bought it for was enormous. And the materials were high quality as well.

I found my bridesmaid dresses in Debenhams of all places.
They were quite simple in style though, no major flounces or frilly bits.
+1 very nice they are too!

At least they won't cost you much.

And they will be happy to wear their outfits again.

I have made a good business out of finishing dresses bought from China. I admit some are really good, but I have found a lot to be finished in the wrong colour thread, detail falling off, etc. If you can get a recommendation go for it, but please be cautious, dresses can take a long time to arrive and returns are economically unviable.

Sarah, thanks for the offer. The girls are going out to the shops this weekend for another look but if it gets to the stage where making them is the only option, I will certainly suggest you as an option.

This is hilarious - every time someone posts with a wedding "issue" it's like a mirror of my life, like someone's shadow-writing my wedding biography!

Anyway, having had the same issues as you, we found a shop at Bluewater, think it might be called Oriental Pearl, or similar, who have samples of silk and satin in literally hundreds of shades and will make bridesmaids dresses to suit. They quoted £79 for a child's dress and have various designs.

Haven't read the whole thread as I'm on a PDA just now, so sorry if the question has already been answered.
