Give the lady in question a call, she obviously found you attractive enough to leave a message. She maybe wanted to ask you out anyway but was a bit scared you might reject her advances.
It's not that unusual for a woman to make a first move nowadays in the 21st century.

Give her a call fella whats the worst that could happen? I had a note left on my windscreen last year "your 'cute' gimme a call: 077.. Michelle x" I did, turned out it was a girl - 8/10 who worked in the offices downstairs. Took her out and eventually got my end away!
