Would nver happen today, giving kids the chance to fire ball bearings towards each other as quickly as you can, reload and fire more..
I can still recall the blisters from playing that.

I swallowed one of the ball bearings, my mother had I right fit and had her fingers down my throat trying to get me to sick it back up. She then took me to the doctors who told her it’s nothing to worry about and I’d st it out. hehe

As a child I swallowed a dice.
I was worried I might throw a six.

My parents' party line was with a house just the other side of the hill. The frequency with which they picked up the phone to hear the party line talking meant they got to know the people. He was a merchant ship's Captain away from home a lot and she was a very attractive and shapely lady who grew very fond of my dad.

Yes, it did cross my mind as the ways of world began to dawn on me.

I couldn't find an exact picture of what I wanted, but anyhoo - the Euro 24 football has many players wearing a boot which reminds me of those half-orange and half-strawberry chews. Terrible taste in boots, wonderful sugar rush for a kid.

The paryty line button in all it's glory well ~OK it's labelled here as recall but it could be used for various functions. Depended on what the engineer wanted it to do.
It was more to do with capacity than saving money. The very first phone I had in my own lane was an Ivory GPO 746 party line phone
