Spicebomb Extreme is, imo, an absolutely magnificent fragrance. They really nailed it with that one.

Could easily be a niche fragrance, imo.
It is. Smelt it all night on the arm I sprayed. I can understand it's a colder weather scent but I'm going to try it for an evening out very soon.

My TF Noir Extreme Parfum arrived today - holy moly it’s a good one.

I wouldn’t say it’s as similar to the EDP as some mention but i like it equally

I've just finished the last of my tester of acqua Di Parma Osmanthus, absolutely love it as it's so far removed from smells I normally like. Hell of a price though.

I’m wearing the last of a split of Virgin Island Water today. Shame the weather isn’t matching the tropical vibe.

Called in at Boots, tried Acqua Di Gio Profundo - thought the opening wasn't brilliant, the beramot really hit me and a but 'pine fresh' floor cleaner but it really settled down and smoothed. I've been looking for a summer scent for days I'm out walking/gym/football, this could well fit the bill.

Heads up that there are some bargains on Notino again. Cheap Bentley and Armaf. I've ordered the CdNIM Limited Edition and the CdN Urban Elixir based on the Fragrantica reviews. Can't stress enough how much of a bargain the Bentley are - Momentum Intense, Absolute and for Men Intense EdPs

Sold.

Heard good things about Bentley before so will take a blind buy punt on the EDP.

Thanks

I'm a bit wary of the main Bentley for men offerings having looked up their compositions on Fragrantica as it has patchouli which I'm not a fan of. Which would you recommend out of the other two you mention? Momentum Intense or Absolute.

A little update from me.

I recently bought 50ml of Bleu de Chanel EDP from Joropug. I really enjoyed the EDT I had (incidentally, also from a PH'er - Lord Marylebone) and so it's no surprise I like the EDP. The longevity doesn't seem too great however, but again, no real surprise there as the EDT was similar.

I have a plan. I'm going to get some Molecule 01, which as far as I understand, is Iso e super. This is with the intention of layering with the BDC EDP.

On another note (note? geddit? paperbag ) Joropug gave me the remains of a small sample of 1 Million Golden Oud.

Wore it today. Damn! It's very nice indeed. I'm having me some of this biggrin

I really should get a new username! It occurred to me that PH is the oldest forum and social media outlet that I take part in. It predates my ancient Facebook even. The downside to that is I chose my username based on my first car!

Golden Oud is really fantastic. I paid £80 delivered off the PR website just the other day, I googled codes and found a 20% off ! The welcome discounts didn’t seem to work. It’s actually the second time I have bought it, I caved and sold it on eBay for £50 profit when the stock run out. It seems to be a limited run. One thing I noticed is if you smell it right away it can sometimes smell medicinal - this drops off quite quickly.

One million Elixir is also great. In fact they all are, but that one in particular.

Today I wore TF Noir Extreme Parfum - Chuffed with this one.

I recommend the Hot UK Deals app by the way, there’s a men’s fragrance category and people post the best deals across all sites and get voted up or down. Have grabbed a few deals on there.

They are very different. The absolute is more of a cooler weather scent and very sandalwood to my nose. It’s the only scent my massage therapist ever comments on. The momentum is a fresh summer scent, which my girlfriend has been complimentary about the last couple of times I’ve worn it recently.

Tried some Hermes Terre d'Hermes yesterday. GF wasn't a fan, she said it smelt like woody toilet duck rofl As the notes are Sandalwood and Grapefruit I'd say she was spot on rofl

I liked it though, very long-lasting and the punch of the citrus died down after an hour or so.

Got to say I'm really enjoying Acqua Di Gio Profundo, so much so that I really don't care if no one else likes it!

Perhaps we should all just cut the middle man out and just go straight to the Limescale removal offerings.

I wonder if Toilet Duck know they have an untapped market, competing with top designer fragrance houses.

In fact I’ve just had a business idea.

One for the PH hive mind, as I’ve tried a few things and have yet to find what I do like, just what I don’t…

I like Aventus, and have that, but I’m looking for a fresh summer fragrance. So far I’ve found out I don’t like aquatic ones, I do like amber and vanilla (but don’t think they’re particularly summery), and I’m a bit stuck.

Currently have and like:
Aventus
Stronger with you absolutely
JPG Ultra Male

Recently tried D&G Light Blue eau intense (too salty/aqua after a great opening), and a bunch of Penhaligon and PdM, none of which made me want to spend the money.

Also picked up JPG le male elixir, which is quite fresh but doesn’t seem to turn into anything later on (might be my skin, my nose, or just that I should give it another try!).

Any suggestions for a fresh / summer fragrance that isn’t going to end up reminding me of sea weed or cut grass? biggrin
