I've got a new one coming that I am hoping I like as I've bought it without actually smelling it - Roja Kingdom of Bahrain.

Well my offer was accepted on that Kenneth Cole RSVP. First time I've ever bought half a bottle of aftershave.

Current favourites are:
Tom Ford Ombre Leather
Tom Ford Costa Azzurra
Tom Ford Noir
Dior Sauvage

I should point out, these are all gifts from family members, I'd never spend that much on myself.

Any experience with Dupeon & Copycat fragrances?

I’ve had my order from Noted Aromas, all 5ml samples and all good. Decent 5ml bottles & atomisers vs TEV.

The Milan is lovely!! I can’t tell much difference between this and Tom Fords Ombré Leather, it’s really nice and I’ll get the 100ml.

Rome (Aventus) yeah a bit similar but not really, smells better than the scent reserve & essence vault versions. Both these smell exactly the same to me but nothing like Aventus, way too sweet & perfumey.

Monte Carlo (BR 540) nice, very close to the original & better than TSR’s version. I’d buy again.

Athens (Invictus) lovely. Smells exactly the same to my bottle. 100% buy again

Aspen (silver mountain water) lovely again, very close to mine.

Longevity, I’m getting around 6 hours out of Milan, 4 out of Rome the other 3 last a good 8-9 hours.

TEV I had:

461 (BR 540) not keen, smells like a cheap aftershave, Noted Aromas was miles better.

200 (Aventus) smells exactly the same as TSR’s version. Too sweet and nothing like Aventus. Noted Aromas was better but still not great.

411 (Green Irish Tweed) a no from me. Didn’t like it but I’m not keen on the original either.

197 (Sauvage) Lovely. I’d buy again.

Next will be going through the different Armaf CDIM bottles. I think this will be my new hobby! And get expensive!!!!

I’ve only tried the three I blind bought in 100ml:

PDM Layton (Manilla) - Smells identical to the 10ml sample I had of the real thing. Don’t like it enough to warrant buying a full bottle if that makes sense, but like to have the clone.

Creed Virgin Island Water (St Thomas) - I have a sample of the real thing currently - there isn’t much in it. Great for the money.

Acqua Di Parma Colonia (Dallas) - My favourite of the 3, smells fantastic and as it’s EDP lasts longer than the real one does. I haven’t smelled the real one in ages to compare likeness but from memory it’s close.

They seem a higher quality than TEV and others. £60 gets you 3x100ml, bargain.

FWIW I’ve tried copycat scents - they used to be great, returned my last batch - awful.

TEV - Viking, Santal 33 and Neroli Portofino are all solid. I tried a few others and didn’t think that much of them.

Took the plunge and bought bottle of CDNIM Limited Edition. To my nose, it smells exactly the same as my MB Explorer. Side by side I can’t tell any difference. It’s nice but I wouldn’t call it an Aventus clone.

So! Which CDNIM is the Aventus clone? The EDT or EDP? I think they also sell the highly concentrated EDT and Pure Parfum?

So 5 to pick from?

I have 95ml approx full St. Thomas (Virgin Island Water) and Manila (PDM Layton) for sale on eBay at the moment or £35 delivered if anyone interested for both. Really like them and close match but just don't ever go for them over my other scents.

Slimming down! Also selling 50ml of Chanel Bleu EDP, Essence Vault Viking and Santal 33 (60/70ml) EDP and Drakkar Intense 45ml EDP.

I recently re-bought PR One Million Golden Oud after finding a sample in my shorts pocket, forgot how good it is and there are 20% discount codes floating around for their website.

Also got some scent samples 10mls:

Green Irish Tweed - It is miles better than any clone I have tried which are too OTT. I really liked it and might actually pick this one up.
Aventus - Have had clones and Armaf CDNIM, only smelled it in stores before. Smell wise, I love it - I wish it lasted a bit longer though.
Mancera Cedrat Boise - Seen this mentioned a few times on here before and tried it in NYC - It is nice but I don't think I'd buy it personally, not very me.

I got a free sample of Sunnamusk Victory - never heard of them before. Opens up like old school Aventus but fades very quickly which is a shame.

Who does a good dupe of Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade? I've seen it on TEV but found their stuff very hit or miss with how close they are to the original.

I have Polo Green for winter. A strange one. Classic, yet I often can’t get on with it due to a dislike of patchouli. But then sometimes the other notes seem to come to the fore and I like it again. Definitely an old school masculine vibe.

Just been given a 60ml bottle of Dior Sauvage, not opened it yet but smelling it in John Lewis I like it.

I have three bottle of Paco Robanne 1 million that were also presents, two 100ml (1 unopened) bottle and a 50ml bottle

Half a bottle of Creed Aventis which although not a patch on the original 2014 version I smelt, is a lot better than whatever passes for Creed these days.

I rarely wear any of them so I suspect this may last me for the rest of my life.
