I sympathise because I have done fk all and just turning up on the day hoping everything is ready!
One of the perks of being a guy.
Pah! No excuse - I did 90% of mine. Didn't trust anyone else (was a tad complex).

Rude Girl - 20 weeks must be wrong then as the wedding is early August, which according to my calendar is just over 4 months away.

The dilemma is when the cut-off point is at which she stops looking in the shops and tries to get them made.
Depends how much she cares. On this topic, I don't think I'm a 'normal' woman - I wouldn't care whether people were co-ordinated as long as they had a good time.

If she's stressing enough that you're posting for help here, then give in now and get them made. When I wanted an evening gown last winter, there were ebay stores doing them for £80-odd quid, they probably do bridesmaids dresses too. You've got loads of time to send for one, check the quality and then send for the rest.

I'm looking forward to Pods and your wedding; pie & chips for all and as much ale as you can drink. Yay \o/ hehe

Edit: Dress code; optional. hehe

We found some which were the right colour and 'ok' style on eBay and then got a seamstress to 'do the magic' and re-create them into a finished product.

He can't afford me!

edit - seriously though, of the last 5 weddings you went to, can you remember what colour the bridesmaids were wearing?

Also, don't forget it's a wedding. There should be mushy peas with the pie and chips

TBH, I'm not sure I've actually been to 5 weddings. But, yes, point taken.

I don't disagree with your point, but I am just trying to do the best for her. I agree that the "wedding" in it's literal sense is about more than this, but apart from some hazy memories, the only thing we will have to remember the day is the photos - we want the bridesmaids to look their best! And I am sure they would want to.

I have pitched the idea of getting them from Ebay and having them altered and that appears to be a possibility at the moment so thanks all for the suggestion.

Reverse that - when did you last go to a wedding where the bridesmaids looked awful? Generally they're scrubbed up well and are smiling & happy... and that always makes good pics smile

Tell me about it, took us ages to find bridesmaids dress, mainly down to the colour (I was fussy) then the wait.... and the mistakes.... picked dress up a few days before I got married!!

Seems out of summer season, people don't think there are weddings!
Anyway, all worked out in end Tracey (Mrs Trackside) looked stunning.

Watters bridesmaids are really good.

I know they are stocked in Sheffield, (and also a friend has found somewhere in London too) which makes me think they are country wide.

Lovely dresses and a multitude of colours.

Watters were a much better quality than most of the others I saw, shame not many places do them frown

Go to an outlet place where they might have last season summer dresses still knocking about.
