I once lost a friend who went apoplectic with rage when I insisted that "it's" does not mean "belonging to it", but merely "it is". Hopefully she felt as much relief as I did when we disconnected on social media and never saw one another again. I'm only sad that I won't be there to see her explode when she finally discovers that I was right.
