Rishi Sunak said if labour get in they will write blank cheques. But under 14 years of Tory rule we have printed the most amount of money, added the most amount of debt and stagnated economic growth since WW2, As well as increasing inflation to great proportion, caused by constantly printing money which only ever seem to benefit massive billion pound companies.

Is that really the correct phrase to use?

Not sure, we should ask Blair and Brown who allowed our banks to act as casino bankers hence require the QE you refer to.

Jeez, mickythefish, can you give it a rest on trying to start political debate in this thread? This is the 3rd time at least. We have an entire forum for politics.

He's not allowed to post in NP&E.

But I couldn't agree more, F-Off with the politics. This is not the place for it.

Plus, "most amount" makes you sound like Alan Sugar. And he's a knob.

Not sure science can answer that one, becuase a lot of metaphysiology subjects sit in a void it doesn't cover.

That sounds a bit ecclesiastical, probably more relevant in the 'Italy' section wink

Well, now you do. And it's not some "thread police" thing, it's something that has been agreed by consensus and is supported by the mods. And you've had posts deleted for it recently and presumably the mods told you why those posts were deleted.

But, sure, be a dick about it if you want to be.

Isn't one of the criteria for life the ability to reproduce? So I'd we every manage to colonise another planet that would suggest earth is alive.

At least I make people smile and they like me.

I mean, apart from you. Your feelings toward me are evident in every unpleasant points-scoring reply you make toward me.

The actually definitely of life is not very well defined in science . Like they are are starting to realise animals shows signs of consciousness, bees for example. A lot of animals feel pain, anxiety etc traditionally human emotions.

For example the Amazon rainforest can summon it's own rain. We are all connected at levels we don't see. The universe itself could be an organism. Cells in your body communicate with other cells at a quantum level which travel through any physical object and instantaneous.Anyway sorry for detracting from usual subjects.

Careful. Nethybridge considers causing a chuckle
by referencing comedy
as being plagiarism. wink

Why does the snooze button 'snooze' the alarm for 9 minutes. But not 10? Even my old clock radio in the 80s did this (though I think it might actually have been 8 minutes). Anyway, don't know if it has already been covered, but not looking back through five volumes.
