Had a lovely meal in the company of my beautiful wife at Headlam Hall. Food was excellent surrounded by the splendour of a historic building. It’s now a hotel with spa and 9 hole golf course.

Didn’t enjoy the Grand Prix, poor George and Lando robbed of potential wins. Never been a Hamilton fan.

A friend of mine (also a member on here twizzelb) has had a few TVR's over the years), and lots of other special stuff, he always gives me a go in whatever he's had (I wish he was still on here but he left after a lot of people got banned a couple of years ago, he's in a WhatsApp PH Group thou)

Anyway, his Cerbra was the only car that I was a bit wary of, followed by one of his Tuscans. I felt very cramped in the Cerbra, sat low with a weird reach to the gear stick, the throttle pedal wasn't ideal for someone with a false leg too.

It was excellent fun and I did enjoy the few goes I had of it.
I don't mind the seating. I'm short so sit right forward, it's a comfy position, everything around you, become part of the car.

No visibility in the spray, tramlines, flooded motorway and dhead drivers with no lights though....

But then that fun in the tunnel at Newport...second gear...

Morning all.

Up at sparrow’s fart as I have a packed schedule of sums and meetings this week. As some of you might be aware, there was a change of management at Trivton-sub-Hamden just before the weekend and my colleagues and I now need to show the new bosses the ropes (and the books - both versions)!

Pip pip!

Good morrow fellow Trivialities everywherecoffee
It's that day again, I'm sure hammo19 will be along shortly to reveal what it's actually called!!!

I have a list of things I need to get done, unfortunately more importantererer things come up and the original things get bumped down the list daily, right up until they themselves become more importantererer!!!

Are you involved in local government psi310398?

Grey and overcast here but dry at the moment, apparently biblical rain is forecast for later.

Enjoy your day whatever you're doing!!

Shame for George to retire, learning curve for Lando, Lewis showed his great skill. Saved his tyres, stayed out the dirty air then took George just before pit stops to ensure he was serviced first. Then saved his tyres at the end and just maintained a 2 sec gap when Lando cooked them. Quite the masterclass.

Thing is Hammo, when he's not won in 3 years, when you see his emotions at the end, listen to his interview about his doubts of his abilities...

Very happy for Lewis to have won.

Hammo's only got a month to go to join the 200 club...

Today, not sure what today will bring, a little in Limbo with work so may do some training, or maybe mess about seeing what some settings do to things...

Enjoyed the Grand Prix, felt sorry for George, but happy for Lewis.

I have a few bits and pieces to do today before the builders start work tomorrow.

Hopefully the weather wil not be as bad as is forecast ……

My friends and I were five, six, seven and eight (5, 6, 7 and 8) years old when Summer Holiday came out at the cinema. With the eight (8) year old Susan Hall in charge, we got on a bus and went to Camberley, to the Odeon, to see it at the matinee. This involved crossing the A30 with no pedestrian crossing. Roads were less busy, cars were slower. Anyway, this whole experience left Andrew Jelly, who was seven (7) worried about a line from one of the songs. The young ones, shouldn't be afraid. We were young, he argued, what was it we shouldn't be afraid of? We couldn't help him. When we got home the mums couldn't help him, nor could the dads when they came home from work. It bothered him for a long time.

What bothers me is why Cliff and The Shadows and their promotional film should be centre stage in my head this morning.

My memory is all over the show at the moment. Patchy. Apache! There's another one.

The new system has gone live. So far I have received 2 (two) phone calls. Neither were for bugs, but merely for user-guidance.

It's been over 1 hour since the technicians started using it.

It's quiet.

Too quiet.

Good morning all.

What a marvellous night's sleep - albeit one perhaps over-facilitated by grape, grain and bread. Lots and lots of bread.

Monday morning's metrics strongly indicate a need for the re-establishment of some self-restraint in the week to come, a week off the booze is the minimum requirement with a side-order of portion control probably also recommended.

In work news, a genuinely interesting new client project has appeared from stage left and will nicely fill a gap in our plan. So who do I find I'm needing to fake the appropriate levels of enthusiasm in response to this development?

Sometimes you just want the world to, not leave you alone exactly, but perhaps just carry on doing its thing quietly, over there where you can keep an eye on it without it actually placing any demands on you.

TVR tours of the Peak District.
Ooh, can I come on one of those now I've got the requisite machine?
Hi Mallard wavey

Welcome to the Wonderful World of TVR!
Unfortunately ou missed the "Peaks to the Beach" 2-day TVR event just a few weekends ago, which involved a Saturday of sedate driving around the Peak District, and a Sunday of carefully negotiating the inviting twisties of North Wales especially Snowdonia. driving Such a shame.

However, next weekend the TVR Car Club are staging "TVR Heaven", a national event involving a Saturday run through the picturesque Trough of Bowland, followed on Sunday by a massed gathering at Lytham Hall. Check out the TVRCC website or the TVR forumumses here on PH.
I hope to be attending*, but without Percy, my TVR S Series, which is currently languishing in my Daughter's garage awaiting recommissioning. However,I will be taking my faithful orange balaclava. silly

* Thats if I can fettle the C-Ma_ in time, because it has again decided to throw a wobbler and is refusing to start again. irked

Following a negative Elbow Test, the day started clear and bright and sunny, with 25 centipedes basking happily in the conservatory where yesterday's washing is drying after yesterday's repeated deluges of Nissan gearbox parts. rolleyes
As expected, the grey clouds are massing for another display of How Many Holes There Are Up There That Need Plugging.
Never mind, at least it's filling up all the deep potholes, which is more than can be said for the Local Councils & Highways Depts.

In half an hour, I'm off to attend my twice-weakly wink cardiac rehab fitness exercise session, transportation care of Mrs Robbo's trusty Carys Yaris.

After return, I shall once more endeavour to get to the nub of the problem with the C-Ma_.
Bloody thing! grumpy

Play nicely amongst yourselves whist I'm out, and...

Hey! YOU!!

Yes, you boy!
Stop doing that!

Gud moaneve one an dawl!

Here we are, then. Another Monday, the weather can be best described as "dreich", yet it's supposed to be July.

Still, mustn't grumble. Well, I can, but nobody listens.

Today has been devoted to steppage, of which I have done 14,962 thus far. Coffee, a perusal of PH, lunch and then a quick cleaning of my car, and then who knows? I'll make it up as I go along.

Laters,...
