Thanks for the welcome, Bobbers. I'll endeavour to drop in more regularly. Life's been very busy indeed. A lot of you will no doubt remember when my youngest came along. He turned 2 in March!! And I've got another one due next month. Then I'm done. Chop chop.
Was it you who once set fire to some Pagid brake pads? I forgot what that person changed their username to - old age y'see hehe

They give you a badge saying you've been brave.

But only if you have.
As a workmate advised me years ago when I said that I was considering having the snip:
"There's really nothing to it at all.
As long as you don't mind bouncing around for a week on a spacehopper with one handle missing..."

It was actually all quite painless. The worst thing is going through the sandpaper phase as the pubes start growing back.

Oh, and they don't like you dashing around the recovery room hoping to try it out with the nurses. nono

Strange day today, I got my bike sorted out but while I was there I could feel a headache coming on, I got worse so I had 3 pint glasses of Water, 2 Soluble Anadin Extra and put myself to bed for a few hours.

Still here a bit but its Friday and there's beer to be drunk and Morgan Spice to be sipped.

Another in the rough tough Northern armour.
Another pointless bit of unnecessary censorship by the PH bots. irked

They also affect residents of Shorpe.. rolleyes

A night away in prospect to celebrate twenty seven (27) years of marital bliss.

The programme of events to include a longish walk, England match on telly, nice meal & Sunday lie in.

Today will mostly consist of:
Cursing the weather - i wanted to get out with the Slopesadrone
Watching BSB from Snetyerton - come on TB
Eating absolute crap - i just can't be arsed to be fair
Getting hit on the head when one of Her Ladyship's silly picture tiles detached itself from the wall and promptly bounced off my head - ouch!

and reflecting on the future......

Ha ha, yeah I know I can but I really don't want to get it too wet.
Took mine on 165 mile trip today, will watch the footy then head back tomorrow. Hwntas rain can be biblical at times, but drier roads at the end. Enough to put some manners on a Golf R and a Tesla biggrin The Mini Cooper at Carmarthen gave up quickly... biggrin

I'm ok thanks BN, sad to say I have no memories for this flat, certainly not good ones, this is where he ended up after he fell off a cliff metaphorically after my brother died, he had a great little flat in a warden assisted group of flats with a community centre and shops within walking distance, he chose to just sit there and deteriorate, he could have had a great life there.

I thought about mentioning keeping the Scooter or me having it but I thought, No. Keep it sensible.

I wish I'd let the 10 year old out in me more which is usually just bubbling below the surface. I hate having to remind myself I'm just a kick in the arse off 60.

With some of these things (the older types anyway) a little judicious jiggery-pokery with the electric knitting can double the maximum speed.
Just saying......
hehe

Because Her Ladyship is disabled, she has a mobility scooter.
First time out on it, we did a bit of a loop around the old Slopes Towers, her on the scooter and me walking the Slopeshound.
Half way round she wants to take a break and sit on a bench.
Off you go she says
eh?
Well you want a go on it don't you?
Not really bothered to be honest
Oh go on
rolleyes fine....

So off i went.

How come you can drive it so easily so quickly?
Beause i'm not scared of it, obviously
Now we've moved, she doesn't need it as much but seeing as my arfur itis is advancing so quickly, i can see me needing it before long.
If that is the case, i will have it re sprayed in Speedblock Yellow rofl

If you can get an estate car or van here in the next two weeks you can have it, seriously, it's quite possibly going to a scrap dealer!!!

Or add another battery and overpower the motor... but I'd know nothing about that either wink

We used to use them for robotwars stuff. I still have a rather dangerous go kart, made out of old bits. 24v motor powered with 48v of batteries, and a relay instead of the speed controller, so on off...

Someone will want it

Sold my mum's for £300.

I did deliver it, though.

Try to look at it as a nice £300 you didn't have, rather than 75% depreciation over a few miles.

That's right, I'm suggesting you lie to yourself.
