Last day of the week for me, we left the heat of the garden yesterday to venture to the beach, where the sea mist had rolled in so it was sunny, warm, but much cooler, which suited Mrs B. 90 min stroll on the beach meant they fell asleep in front of the TV last night, whilst I watched Portugal get beaten.

Still nice here currently...

And there was me sitting pretty with Portugal in the office sweepstake…

Morning all.

A tedious day of sums and meetings to look forward to before a long weekend. But the absolute highlight of the day is that the winder kleener’s coming.

Morning. What a change in the weather, scorching hot to Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day. We have awoken to a loss of 10 centipedes and 40 mph winds. Had to close all the windows and vents. Should make the golf interesting today.

Gud moaneve!

Some top sheddage there, fatboy. A fine piece of craftsmanship, and no mistake!

You join me as I await a phone consultation with my GP, about the results of my bodily fluid extraction and analysis. Let's see how that pans out.

Otherwise, it's a busy day, for a Thursday - I'm being fitted with a new kitchen sink and tap tomorrow, so anything requiring water (washing, dishwashing) is being done today. Exciting times, indeed.

Crack on!

Gude Moaneve Happy Campers! wavey

Thursday?
So am I, let's have a nuvva cuppa! biggrin

We were rudely awakened twice this morning by temporary power outages triggering our house alarm to go off, and me having to scrabble about bleary-eyed and hobble downstairs to the alarm control panel in the hallway, to enter the code to turn the racket off.
Despite my dotage and confused state, I could still remember the pass code, but without my specs, I couldn't read the bloody numbers on the pushbuttons.
An irate Erin Dawes appeared at the top of the stairs to angrily shout at me to turn it off, because "What will the neighbours say?"
Apparently I was the direct cause of the temporary interruption of our electrical power supply, whilst simultaneously laying fast asleep in my bed.

For some reason I can't fathom, it was obviously all my fault. confused

And then I had the audacity to repeat it 3/4 of an hour later after drifting off back to sleep.

/Men are to blame.

On a more positive note, no fewer than three (3) successive Elbow Tests have all yielded a negative result, which was nice. smile

IOTN, Today is Daughter #2's birthday, so after my cardiac rehab session and collecting Robbopoppetlet from school, we shall be driving over with pressies and wine & cake to help the Birthday Girl celebrate. party

Meanwhile, do carry on and play nicely.

It's not Cilla that's keeping you awake, Byker, she is no longer with us.

It's that Lulu! (Ex- Mrs Gibb)

She's the same age as me.
I know, hard to believe, innit? yikes

A very good mid-morning to everybody.

Number 1 daughter's birthday meal last night was nice but not able to be enjoyed to the fullest extent as I was feeling not quite 100%.

Overnight my condition has worsened, passing through a bit under the weather dashing by peaky and degrading all the way to poorly. Not close to proper poorly though; don't be ridiculous.

I'm taking all the drugs and hoping for a swift recovery today as tomorrow I hope to be going to the ABR Festival.
