Never had a reaction to the flu jab but was as sick as a dog with the first three covid jabs
This^^^Three days of feeling like five miles of bad road, every bl**dy time.
Giving it a miss this time around.
My mate the Geezer has the Chinese plague right now but he reckons it's no more than a spot of man-flu these days. It's just a background fact of life now.
But I still won't knowingly buy anything Chinese.

Cannot remove 2 screws in the wheel arch of my 11 year old BMW diesel, to change a blown bulb in the headlight.
Extremely frustrating.
Have dowsed in WD40, but the screws are not coming off/ turning. Posi-driver fits perfectly, but the screws are not budging.
Planning next strategy.
That's a bugger old chap!!Extremely frustrating.

Morning all.
No parkrun today, managed to put a minor tear in my calf.
Instead I'll put primer on the door I've repaired and hang it back in place
Could you not have left the calf at home with the other calves, and done the park run?No parkrun today, managed to put a minor tear in my calf.

Happy Birthday, Nij.
Babs was originally built for Count Louis Zborowski as one of his Chitty Bang Bang cars. I'm not making this up. He had two quite distinct views on cars, the Chitty Bang Bangs had huge engines but he could also see the sense in small, lightweight cars with much smaller engines. For the 1922 season he commissioned a pair of 1.5 litre Aston Martins to race in the French Grand Prix. They were both doing well in the race but neither finished. Zborowski drove one and Clive Gallop the other. Both cars still exist. One is in Beaulieu and the other is in private hands and is still raced. At the 2022 French Grand Prix it was driven by Sebastian Vettel. Not during the race, no
Like most works Astons of that period it had a nickname. It is called Green Pea. Did I mention I'm not making this up?
Thanks Dicky old fruit, likewise belated thanks to Still Mulling, Glenners, Bomma and spikeyhead, not forgetting Pugh, Pugh, Barney, McGrew, Cuthbert Dibble and Grub Babs was originally built for Count Louis Zborowski as one of his Chitty Bang Bang cars. A most enjoyable morning has just been had, an old mate of mine came round to help me get the '68 Cooper started as it was flagging somewhat for reasons mostly electrical, he got it going in minutes and we went out for a blast round the Warwickshire lanes which did it the world of good. He drove it for a bit and now wants to buy it but can't make a move until his '53 Moggy Minor convertible (which used to belong to Ted 'fit the best, fit Everest' Moult) or '66 Hillman Super Minx find new homes. We spent the next couple of hours taking turns driving them both which was bags of fun, proper analogue stuff and no mistake.

Artnoon all!
Lawns mowed (thanks to the boyos), and more chopping down of woody stems, prickly and otherwise. I'm done with the gardening for now and the evening entertainment of the 50th anniversary 'Lads' do is imminent, and no mistake!
Apols to the cryptic clue solvers, I appear to have suggested a 14 word solution! It is, of course, (6,8)....
ION: Barnfind is being relocated again, tmrw, as your correspondent is due for surgery early doors on Monday hence, and it could get messy! He won't be bothered, as the lads at the stable spoil him, to be sure.
IOTN: I need a high torque drill/driver. Recommendations for 95Nm+ welcome...
Pout
ETA: I thought this tool might fit the bill?

We're back in the UK now, has anyone been fiddling around with the thermostat? Bloody chilly, it is.
Never mind. Got Halloween, bonfire night and Christmas to look forward to now. Yay.
A stubborn pozidrive screw? Milwaukee impact driver old boy, rarely seems to fail. I have the Hades b
d 5.0aH one, otherwise drill the bugger out.
Use a good drill bit though, otherwise you'll be in a world of pain. Have a look at Milwaukee Red Helix, won't go too far wrong with those buggers..

DeWalt? Don't really have much experience of their stuff, I gather they're pretty good though.
Have to beware of cheap copies of it, so I'm told
