Chris still has the Marcos Mantis and only intended racing a few of the British GT races last season.

Hes brought a Lola T70 and intends to have it running for this season for some of the classic races and Le Mans.

Cheers Boss for the pics - Well there's a surprise, it had to be orange, does anyone know if he still has his original orange Sunbeam Tiger? Chris is responsible for my Tuscan Challenge Car purchase, I've been a quiet fan of Chris since watching him battle in his Tiger with the American muscle cars and the Astons (including Peter Wheeler's Aston), £ for £ the Tiger wooped the lot.

I must say that's one of the oddest racingcar schemes I've seen . . . but then orange is his color:

The '64 Tiger at Spa6 '06: Ford 302 V8, 490bhp @ 6800rpm, 4 box.

Thundering stuff.

I guess power will be about the same as in the Tiger? Way better sound though!

Feck me it can't get any better than this . . .

Thanks for the pics, as far as you can develop a Tiger that one is a serious bit of kit and very exciting to watch in the flesh, I'm not too sure about the Lola, I've never really come across them before - is that one of Chris's a special car?

How can one be 'not sure' about a Mk3B T70?

In the flesh - sight 'n sound - they are awesome. I want one over a 917 or GT40.

Price wise, what would you be looking at for the Lola?

I thought something like 150K . . . without an engine.

You have to check their website for the cont. T70.

Chris is building himself up quite a collection of racing cars, I first saw Chris a few years ago whilst he was racing his Tiger, awsome car, I own a Sunbeam Tiger myself and it came very close to being converted into a race car, couldnt do it in the end as its such an original car only having done 1000miles since 1977.
Im currently having a Tuscan Challenge car built and guess what its going to be orange, never know I might get the chance to give the Tiger a wooping on the track however, I've got to learn how to drive it first!

Won't be easy to haul a huge lump of iron around the track!
