TS500 Rover Based Engine...

As a Chimaera owner I have to say the TS500 looks very, very nice and the fact its a 5.0 V8 too, well, yum

Anyway, the engine is loosely based on the Rover V8 from what I've read, but just how loosely based is that?

And does this mean Rover are supplying the engine?

And finally if Rover are making/supplying the engine, then were the Chim500 and Griff500 prematurely scrapped I wonder?

No idea - but I'm having a test drive in a few weeks so I'll report back then

My guess is it will be the 4.6 block linered to 94mm with a stroker 90mm crank (can sometimes be achieved from the stock 4.6 item if it's never been machined). Then there will be aftermarket rods and pistons plus ported heads etc.
