Mantis Spyder vs. TVR S3 c
Discussion
Hi,
has anybody driven back to back a Mantis Spyder (Rover 190hp) vs a TVR S3c (170hp)
How does it compare in terms of:
1) built quality (panel fit) and electrics/reliability?
2) roadholding in the dry (as snappy as the TVR or more easy to control at the limit)
3) Running costs. Some people say TVR V8s costs twice as much as the S3c. Is it the case here as well? What about fuel consumption? Not as much power for 3.9l.
Thanks for advising
Cheers

I think you might have your Marcos model names confused there.
The Mantis uses a 4.6 Ford Mustang quad cam V8 with around 350bhp. You might be thinking of either a Mantara or Mantula Spyder.
Have a look on here to figure out which it is www.saxby01.freeserve.co.uk/marcos.htm

sorry it must be a Mantara.
I found some cars at autoscout 24:
www.autoscout24.de/home/index/list.asp?make=15645&model=0&eurofrom=0&euroto=0&hpfrom=0&hpto=0&yearfrom=0&yearto=0&radius=0&zip=PLZ&carsperpage=50&country=D
The Germans don't seem to make a big difference when selling their Marcos...
Cheers
