Update from owner of first TSO R/T
Discussion
As our car was featured on your site back in November, I thought that your members would like an update on its progress.
The car went to the Autosport International Show at the NEC in January, where it was favourably compared to an Aston Martin! Ex-TVR owners and current TVR owners commented favourably on the style and build quality - one went so far as to say, "Marcos hasn't gotten much wrong here!"
The car is still used every day and after 2000 miles the engine and gearbox are bedding in well - the gearchange in particular is now smoother and the car is very responsive. Even in the wet weather the car continues to be easy to drive and very controllable, particularly in the recent bad weather. The build quality has been superb, and people who have sat in the car cannot believe how high the standard is for a car in this price bracket. Everyone who has seen it has been impressed, as we continue to be. I'm now looking forward to some sunshine so I can finally take the roof panels off!
Overall, as you can see we are delighted with it and look forward to many more years driving it, as it is a classic.

For a car in this price bracket, there should be no question about the build quality. One should not, for example, have to reattach bits of the car with Duck Tape when they fall off, or tape the door shut when it flies open while driving along.Glad to hear you are enjoying it. Be interested to hear how you get on when the car has a significant mileage on it.
Anne,
That's great news and good to hear you're enjoying it! Hope to see you at some of the club meets or at a car event somewhere, I've still yet to see a TS car in the flesh - hopes are high though and I see myself in a TSO coupe if I ever finish my Mantula - currently in for more tuning prior to supercharging this winter!
If you could register at www.marcosforum.org and tell the owners about your experiences it would be much appreciated too (I'm spyderv8 on there).
Cheers!
