Marcos @ Cartmel Racecourse. Anybody on here? (pics)
Discussion
Hi Guys.
I was at Cartmel races today with family and friends and spotted this beast parked up on the grass (must have been tricky getting it onto the field!!) I have never seen one before, but it certainly had presence, and quite a few people were looking at the car.
What model is it, and how rare are they?
Does anyone on here own her, or know the person who does?
I will gladly remove the number plates should anyone want me to.
James.

Cazzer, I thought Jack's car was dark red, same as mine in fact?
The rear 'vents' were to homologate the car for GT and then onto Le Mans. They were of course open on the race car, but how cool do you need the rear brakes on a road car ;o)
And we need to have a chat about supercharging, Chris is trying to get me to do mine...

Oops, only just seen this topic.
The only way to tell an LM400 and an LM500 apart without starting the engine or lifting the bonnet is by the front brake calipers: LM500 have 4 pot racing brakes (assuming the LM400 has not been upgraded).
Also, my car IS red & recently seen at the Virginia Waters meeting. Notice the difference in the bonnet and running boards as the first 10 LM's had the same mould as the Racing Cars. Mine is first LM400 and the only one with with this racing shell & the rear brake ducts are not fake just blocked off to prevent stones being thrown out.
