Read in Autoweek that Tony Stelliga is thinking about bringing the new Marcos to the USA. If he can bring it in engineless without a problem, there may be hope.

Knowing that a Noble is $58,000 less engine/trans would you pay $72,000 for a new Marcos with engine and trans?

I was informed that the UK production staff had been made redundant (no job position) so you could be right. Why build the car and fit an engine here when it could be built over there or in canada or SA. Given the engine is a US item it would be cheaper to fit it in the States.

I also saw this. Here's the link, for anyone else that's interested. I've got to admit, the car looks impressive in these pictures:

So, did Tony ever get his Marcos in?

Was the staff made redundant?

Cars were being built last week when MrMaggit visited so I guess so Can't say I'd heard any rumours of that myself, although I started getting involved last October when my tastebuds were tickled.

Marcos have appointed Frank Boulton as General Manager in the US, so it will be happening, but you'd have to speak to them to find out when.
