Good afternoon all!

I've just bought/finishing buying a Mantis Spyder that needs a serious bit of TLC before it is restored
to its previous glory and I'm looking for examples of interiors that other cars after to see what I might
do with mine.

The current interior is a very dark blue/black with black seats and grey has definitely seen better days.

The car has various other issues as well, so I'm focusing on them first before getting to the interior.
However, I would like some examples to see what would work before I get onto changing it.

So, any examples would be much appreciated!

Thanks, Alex

Hi Alex

Not sure if you still need pictures, but your best bet will be to post on the Marcos Forum (www.marcosforum.org) or in the Marcos Cars group on Facebook. I have a Mantis Spyder but currently away for a heart transplant so can't take any interior shots currently (although hoping to get the car back within next four weeks).

How are you getting on with the Mantis?

Hi!

The current state of my Marcos is here...

I have now discussed the interior with a Marcos trimmer and
things are progressing. Hopefully, will have something started
soon. Also, redesigning the interior lighting at the same time.

Thanks!

Very good. I must figure out YouTube one day... cool

I've always like that fliptone car. Is this your vehicle or are you doing it up on behalf of the owner?

Having had my Mantis for 20 years the three things that made the biggest difference to the interior for me were a Momo Jet steering wheel (bliss!), LEd lighting strips in the two footwells (& either side inside the boot) to switch on when the doors open, and LEDs into the Smiths gauges (I never could find backlit gauges that suited).

Its my car biggrin

I bought it as it is the same colour as my Sag.

I am now going to retrim it in a similar style as my Sag...

NICE! Good thing you can't see the interesting shade of green I currently am.

I'd love to see the car when it's done. Are you based in the north or south?

On a slightly different note, any plans to take the Mantis to LM24 this year? Marcos are the chosen marque for the Classic British Welcome so you will be welcomed with open arms in St Saturnin. There are a few more cars than usual going over because of this.

biggrin I'm around the Cambridge area.

Not sure about LM yet as I am often travelling on business and not currently free that date, but shall see nearer the time.

Ah... I'm in Cheshire so may have to wait until we meet at one of the club events then.

Of course, if you ever fancy bringing the car up to one of the twice-yearly shows at Tatton Park, we normally get around 15 cars out & you'd be very welcome.

Actually I do go up that way quite a bit - Sheffield + Chatsworth + Monsal area mostly. Heading up there next month and then sometime after that when I get a chance
