Thanks guys.
The number plate is rather natty if I do say so myself....
Goes like stink - already had the back end squirming around as it's raining here.
The factory guys are also a credit. Just another 500 miles to run it fully in (they kindly had done 500 shakedown miles themselves - saves me the effort) to find any issues and then watch out sunny days - here comes 5l and 300+bhp.
One big bummer is speedhumps - already grounded it twice on those silly "square" single lane ones so I'll be needing to get some more practice in (or just go the long way around).
To be honest, given I've used about 1/10th of the throttle and it's shifting like a shifty thing I'm a bit scared of what happens if you press all the way down at the moment!

Crappy week weather wise to get a TS500, but at least you'll get to find out out good the hood is!
Best way of dealing with those stupid square speed humps with a low car seems to be to pull into the middle of the road so you go over them with the wheels rather than the exhaust.
Be gentle with that right foot in this crap weather now...

I know - horrible isn't it. I just wouldn't drive it at the moment - I had it squirming on the way back using about 1/10th of the throttle
Hood seems great. There are new seals from the demo car that look very "BMW" like - and certainly in the rain it sat in last night it seemed watertight.
I worked out the speed humps after the second scrape! Trouble is around us there are quite a few "single" ones with a chicane next to them, and they are quite a challenge to get one wheel onto without also going up the kerb! Oh well - just have to advoid going that way in future.
When the weather improves (or is that if???) I'll post up a larger summary of what I think of the car.

cazzer said:Ah - interesting. Shaun & Steve from the factory said that they were supplied by a 3rd party, but from what they pointed out to me a few modifications as well to other bits (including the hood, tonneau cover and trim) had to be done by the factory as well and the fitting was rather unique given the changes that have happened to the TS chassis.
sos J, no theyre not...theyre an aftermarket acessory you can have fitted from MHS. A few have em.
Thanks for the info though!
