Tatton last sunday - What was that sound?!
Discussion
As we were driving away from Tatton around 3.30ish after the car show, 2 marcos came from another exit and the second one out, was it yellow/black?, made THE most monstrously awesome bowel loosening notes and I have to say, Thank you. It made my day. Beats picolax. Reminded me of the day I picked up shadowfax and was around the legal limit as an amg55 merc overtook , at something rather above said speed; it was the resonance of both the engines what I recall - a feeling rather than a sound. But this single marcos had it. What size engine was that? Anyone know?
I know a couple of marcos started up just after we in the tvr pen had ended our revving thing. Respect. But that later car, I aint heard better.
Marcos - Is that the plural of marcos? Marcaux? Marcoz?

I was driving the first Marcos (Red Mantula), the second was indeed Manic in his supercharged 4.6 Ford Quad Cam. He has 2 rear exit pipes and two pre-silencer side exit pipes for that noise. He based his system on the Mantis challenge race car and it sounds just right. Shame I couldn't blat mine but I'd just had a 4.6 Stage 3.1 Rover unit installed and was running in! Max 3500rpm...
FYI, to drown out the TVRs (50 of them?) All it needed was Manic and Cazzer (LM 500 with Rover 4.6) to rev their cars.
Sorry Trevs!
Class ;o)
