PCH is nice to do, as is pointing inland, and just wandering around amongst the hills and valleys.

The drive up Mt. Palomar to the observatory is nice.

mmmm..... twisty

California State Highway 1 (PCH) is nice heading south from Monterey to Santa Barbara. Be sure to stop at Nepenthe for a spot of lunch.
Stunning views to accompany your meal

There are some great roads in SoCal ... Topanga Canyon Blvd (?) springs to mind - but, be warned - the CHP also know the good driving roads and have speed traps all over them. The gits.

Where did you book it from? Only Avis rent the SS and unless you book it specifically you will get the LS, still lovely but missing the grunt

hertz fun collection

i researched what they have in stock and they have both v6 and v8 models , some other renters reported back that they got the ss if they asked , so its not gaurenteed but id be happy with the v6

i also joined thier gold#1 club for free via delta airlines , so that may increase my chances

£500 ish for 2 weeks ...10% delta code and 10% back from quidco
