Flights/hotel and internet booking question

So I'm trying to book flights and hotel rooms in New York (going 29/12/10 - 02/01/11).
BA unfortunately, have the best times and rates for both with direct flights, unlike many others I've seen.
My problem is that on the website ( and, it seems, all the other carriers) it doesn't let me book enough passengers for the number I need.

What I'm concerned about is booking my tickets and then there not being enough rooms/flight seats for the rest of the party.

Any ideas what to do?

Ring BA? Can't find a tel. no. on the website.
I've just emailed the question so I'll see what comes back.....

ETA - found the phone number. It's under 'group bookings' deep within the website..
