When did thetrainline.com stop doing parking?
Discussion
Hi folks
I've been working in the smoke today, and I always buy my tickets on thetrainline.com, have done for a couple of years! So, the website always used to have a selection of tickets + parking on the list, and the default option on my profile included parking each time. They have changed the website so my "favourite journey" is now as before but without the parking. There is no option to buy it anywhere during the checkout process now - i've just checked.
So, I get to the machine this morning and no parking ticket printed. I was late so I went inside and was told by the girl behind the till she'd notify the parking attendant and I would be OK.
So, I get back to find a £50 parking ticket from NCP on my windscreen. The online system obviously shows no parking on my receipt as I evidently have not paid. So, this is an expensive exercise!
Quick question, as it's an NCP station car park, not a council one, can ask them to "proove" who parked the car and avoid this daylight robbery? Last time I buy from this particular website!

Don't contact them, ignore any letters they might send. They need to prove that it was you driving. They can't.
Is this definitely true even on train station car parks? The list of byelaws on the back seems to suggest they can prosecute the owner of the vehicle, not just the driverGassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
