Oz internal flights - check-in query

[sleep envy]

What's the deal with check-in times on Virgin Blue internal flights, say from Perth to Cairns?

How early do you have to check in?

[Colonial]

generally shut an hour before boarding.

Yep although I turned up 30 minutes before take off on a Melbourne to Perth flight after dashing across the city (from the pub!) and still got on with a few minutes to spare. One hour is the expected minimum though
