Mrs eightseventhree and myself are looking for 7 days (ish) away in October.

Nice and hot, relaxing but a couple of days out would be done

Around 700 per person (all inclusive if possible)

Anywhere in the world upto 8 hours travel

Any ideas?

Might be worth waiting until the school holidays are over and then looking at late bookings to Caribbean, at the moment most of the decent all inclusive are around the £900 mark unless you want to go to the Dominican Republic where the prices tend to be a lot cheaper, unless you are in a hurry to book might as well hang on, I am sure that given the lack of money floating around at the moment tour operators will be keen to secure out of season bookings for October and reflect this in thier pricing.

Hope you have a great time where ever you end up

Cheers for the carabean advice,

We went to Antigua last year in the end of September which we really enjoyed.

We have also looked at Taba / Taba Heights does anyone have any experiances of this place

Wait for a week before you're due to go and visit a travel agents.

It's what we do - they have a good selection and will often suggest things you may not think of.

Hurricane season runs until Nov in the Caribbean does it not?

I went to the Algarve in Oct a few years back and whilst not "hot", it was nice and warm. About 25c most days.
Portugal is supposedly suffering with people staying away, so you might nab a nice deal somewhere swanky.

I have a villa on the Algarve and agree with BigAlinEmbra, however what appears to be happening is that the drop in visitors is thankfully the package holiday end of the market. On the whole the weather on the Algarve is usually ok in October, but not unusual to have cloudy days, you pays your money you takes your chance at that time of year.

have included a link that shows normal weather temp for whole year

hope this helps

if it was the met office, i would have also have said there was risk of snow, fog, wind, rain, heatwave, mist, cloud, hail etc just to make sure it would be close enough to be able to claim that it was accurate

here my prediction for next week

sunny spells with patches of rain (maybe heavy at times)possibility of wind, no chance of snow or ice, will be colder during night then day, £1 says I am on the button most days

Taba is ok as long as you want to stay in and around the hotel, there is nothing of interest anywhere near and the snorkelling is ok, nowhere near as special as Sharm El Sheikh not far away.
