Flying out of Manchester to Atlanta in a few days. (Delta). Checked the website and seats already allocated. I can't find any info on how soon you have to check in, prior to taking off.

Is it any different than the usual charter flight time of having to check in hours before you fly.

I tend to play it safe and arrive about 3 hours early...plenty of time to unwind before heading off! Advise given by Travel Republic booking thing is the same!

Your cut-off for checking in is usually about 35-45 minutes before take-off so you can cut it fine if you fancy some entertainment. I've ended up in this situation a few times and hearing them put the call through, "Can this man still get onto the plane?" is always nerve-wracking rofl

I'd recommend somewhere in between the 3 hours they normally specify and an hour as the latest to leave it smile

Cheers all. We're normally there four hours or so before, but the two kids drive me up the wall as they gradually get bored. Better safe than sorry though!
