They are also known as TravelJigsaw and are essentially just a rental broker so don't own their own fleet / offices etc and will place your booking with their partner company in the relevant area. Generally OK but might be worth seeing if you can book direct with the hire company rather than through a broker as they don't always work out cheaper.

I used them in Sept 2007.

Hired a 300c hemi in the states for a great price.
No problems with them at all and I would use them again.
They are linked to the larger companies, so you end up collecting your car through Hertz or similar.

Used them for the last four years when I've been to Florida (flying into Sanford). Never had any problems with the cars (300's and Dodge Chargers) or their customer service. Will be using them again!!!!!!

...also use them quite regularly and tend to be cheaper than the company that you end up picking the car up from.

Cool - seem they are the real deal then!! I assumed they contracted out to the bigger companies (Hertz, Enterprise etc). The chap was also really open with who my quote was with, so I will have a quick look on Dollar's site and see what comes up!

I was more worried about booking through these guys to then find they are cowboys and I didn't have a reservation or something silly!!

Just booked with them.

Paid £20.90 for a 1 day, 1 way rental in Florida.

The Dollar website is quoting around $80.

biggrin

Will just have to hope that the car is actually there!!

They have offered me an upgrade to £6 to a Dodge Charger (from a Chevy Aero)!! Is that worth it?!?! The car is for 125 miles across Florida for 1 day. Is it really worth the upgrade?!?!

Yes.

I have just booked 9 days rental with them, pick up and drop off at Orlando Intl Airport in August. Bargain price too!

Highly recommended! have used them for trips in UK, America and Spain, all cheap, and all with no hassles, perfect!

Definately go for the Charger by the way.

Ok ok - I think I will upgrade!! thumbup

I paid £20.90 inc Taxes etc (so far!! biggrin) and through the Dollar website (the people who are gunna actually give me the car were wanting over $70 PLUS tax etc.

I am just using it as a taxi from Miami to Naples which is around 1/4 the cost of the taxi! We have cars on the West cost smile

Be aware that you may not get a Charger in the end. You'll just get a 'full sized car' (read the small print). No hire companies guarantee the type of vehicle except Hertz Prestige type rentals.

Don't be afraid to dig your heels in a bit if they offer you something else. You may have to wait a while for one, but if your dead set on getting the car you want, then that's the deal.

I've used them and they were fine. IIRC, they included all the insurance waivers and taxes too - just hired direct from Dollar for a few days and whilst the rental price was only $104 for the weekend, add the 'extras' and it comes in at a whopping $285!

Ouch!

On a not completely unrelated, the missus is taking us to the Isle of Skye in November for a long weekend. We'll be flying into Glasgow and then driving. Being a bit of a Landy fan, I'm really keen on hiring a Range Rover Sport to cope with the likely rubbish weather and 230 odd miles each way. Can anyone recommend a hire company?

Avis do a 'prestige' car hire from a couple of UK air ports, not sure exactly which though!

Used them recently to hire a car from Avis for 10 days in Italy. Managed to negotiate it for less than I would have paid by going direct, and threw in an insurance excess waiver for free.

Recomended.
