Scottish holiday suggestions

We're thinking about going away somewhere for a 4 or 5 day weekend. My wife is pregnant so we can't fly anywhere and my son is 2 and gets grumpy after 3 hours in the car so we're pretty much limited to Scotland!

Any suggestions? We'd prefer a lodge/cottage/apartment and we need somewhere with lots of stuff ro little kids to do...
