Hotel Rates Question......
Discussion
We've been invited to a wedding at the end of August, the hotel is offering a set rate of £90 b&b to wedding guests.
However i've checked online and the same room same date etc is only £70.
I spoke to the hotel who said that the wedding rate is set as the rooms are reserved. And if these rooms were needed it would be other guests that were cancelled first.
Can they do this?
IE: Can i book online at £70 then they phoen up before the wedding and say "oh sorry your room is cancelled we need it for the wedding at £90 a night"
Any ideas?
Cheers
Dan

Phone the bride and groom and tell them their guests are being ripped off?
agreed, if they threaten to pull out hotel could loose alot of money, It sounds like they have only reserved some of the rooms for wedding guests as opposed to an exclusive use wedding, so book at the online rate whilst it's still available. The wedding rate will be less than the standard rate, but normally more than the online rate.
The online rate is usually cheaper as they tend to have a different cancellation policy.

If it's in the North West or Cheshire I can put you in touch with someone who will get you abetter rate.
