Booked flights and hotels for a holiday via expedia.

I have been informed that my return leg of the journey is now cancelled and I have been put on the flight for the following day. This leaves me without having accommodation for the last night due to the flight cancellation.

What are my rights in terms of compensation....

I paid for everything with a credit card and also have travel insurance from Columbus direct.

Expedia initially advised me of the change but refuse to help further, the return leg of the journey is with two separate airlines. Airline A cancelled but payment was made to Airline B via expedia. They are both suggesting we speak to the other airline for compensation.

The insurance company are saying that no cover available for this as I have not had a travel delay, abandonment, cancellation or curtailment.

Unless you've not got the annual leave to cover it, I'd just take it on the chin and spank 50-100 quid on a hotel. Not much more than the insurance excess, and the least hassle.

And what's so wrong about an extra day's holiday? biggrin
