Head up the Peak for the views.
Lantau Island is a cool place, very different to Hong Kong.
There is also an awesome car meet early on a Sunday morning at Luk Keng in the Northern Territories - certainly to your taste I'd wager with plenty of top, top end machinery out for a hoon.
HK is a great place and truly a 24 hour metropolis and highly recommended. Enjoy smile

You'll have a great time, Hong Kong is excellent - my favourite place on the planet. It has a great transport infrastructure and be sure to spend time all over rather than just the main central touristy areas. I'd recommend a number of places to visit including:

- The Peak on Hong Kong Island
- Bronze Buddha on Lantau island, and see Disneyland, Po Lin and Ngong Ping when you're there
- If you want nightlife go to Lan Kwai Fong
- Ocean Park is worth a visit
- If you like market shopping, you must go to Temple Street, Stanley Market, Jade Market, Ladies Market, etc.
- If you like pets, go to Yuen Po Street in Howloon
- Hong Kong Jockey Club at Sha Tin is excellent
- Tsim Tsa Tsui (pronounced Shim Sha Shoeey) is best place for general touristy days/nights

Och, you've got me wishing I was going back soon!

Close, Its Tsim Sha Tsui, pronouced Chim Sha Choy.

A trip to Stanley Market, by bus, on the coastal route, sitting on the top deck, right at the front.

You'll want a change of underwear, better than any rollercoaster.

Edited to add, you'll want to head to the Oyster Bar at the top of the Sheraton Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, for excellent views over HK Harbour, esp when the lightshow starts at 8pm.

If you're budget can stretch, and you've booked in advance, Felix, the restaurant at the top of the Peninsula is a must. Even if you don't eat there, go up for a drink or two at the bar, and experience the men's restroom!

edit: These recent posts are obviously far too late for the OP! Anyway...

Captain's Bar in the Madarin Oriental for a smokey colonial bar experience.

For computer nerds, the Golden Computer Arcade in Sham Shui Pov is worth a look. There are other markets but IMO that one is the cheapest and the most fun.
