To get there - down the A1 and up the A46. Maps - wonderful things.

Yes. I am!

It'll cost you £300 to cover my petrol up to Newcastle though.

Oh come on, £300 is fair.

Considering I'm providing accomodation as well in the caravan.

Depending on your destination in Lincoln could be A1 - A57.

yes

I did the Retford cut through yesterday and it's shorter distance wise, but about the same time wise.

Downside is the 30p toll bridge.

Thats the way i would go... If i had a car to drive. Unfortunately i haven't been able to find any Car rental Companies that hire to Under 21's.

Train times are ridiculous, 8hours and 5 changes, getting the lincoln at 0600, not really what i had planned for my 18th birthday! haha

From the North it's probably the best way.

If you fancy a change you can always go M62/M18/M180/A15.

Downside is it takes you within 30 miles of Shorpe and Hull.

So you don't want an under 21 car hire, you want 18th birthday car hire? Which means you won't have the minimum 12 month driving licence most (all?) hire companies require?

Anyway, WhizzGo allow 18 year old members, you'll have to look at the T&Cs...

That is what i would normally do but with the flight times there are 5 chagnes taking over 8hours. in the middle of the night. Not particularry keen on hanging around train stations on my own at that time.
