Looking for some inspiration here.....

We've visited Paris many times before and always have a great time. Of course we've done all the usual 'touristy' things a few times over, and now know the city fairly well. We're out there next week again, staying in the Montparnesse area, and are looking for something a little different to do/see during day and evenings.

There's myself, Mrs HH, and the HH juniors - Boy 13yo, Boy 11yo and Girlie 9yo.

Any thoughts chaps? Any advice appreciated!

Zen.

The 56th Floor of the Montparnasse Tower.

Montmartre vineyards.

A trip from down the Canal St Martin through six locks and a 2 km tunnel to the Seine.

Les Catacombes.

The View back towards central Paris from the Grande Arch de La Defence is nice, you could carry on past La Defence on the metro to Saint-Germain-en-laye which is a lovely little suburb.

Where Puggit grew up!

Can't say I'd go back and visit - although I think there is a Chateau there.

+1 for the Catacombs

And how about the sex-museum in Pigalle?

Good suggestions, and appreciated - please keep them coming.
We've not done the catacombs as yet as the youngest is only 9.... can you advise if they are suitably interesting/not too scarey for a very girly 9yo?

Would be great as the entrance is only 5 mins walk from where we stay..

It is indeed - we have an office in La Defense so I've been up there a few times with clients and the like...

That's funny, so did I. Or at least nearby town. I remember it being a great place - good cafes and bars, nice park nearby. Easy to get to Paris on the RER.

I lived in Forqueux and Le Pecq - went to the British School of Paris in Bougival.

I'm 10 years older than you then!

Was Mme Legrand still there?

No, doesn't ring a bell. Mme Lemaire?

Have you done the science museum at porte de la villette - it was something that kept me and my brothers occupied on several occasions (one of the hands-on type exhibitions)
