Going to Phoenix, US in November for business trip and then driving to Vegas (again on business) - anyone got any tips / advice / links for renting a decent car whilst over there?

Already looked at the biggies (Hertz, Avis etc) and renting a semi-decent car (dodge charger) is nearly as much as the return flights for the 2 of us going!

carhireagency.com Always had good service, and sometimes no one-way rental charges.

Always found that Dollar were better than most where there was a one way drop off fee involved, and be sure to check the prices on our local .co.uk websites against those available on the us based .com's. The paid up front deals offered on the .co.uk's have sometimes been half of the US price I've found in the past.

Just got an email from them saying they're doing free upgrades at the moment.

booked flights to phoenix last year with expedia, inc small car from budget. When we got to the car desk at pheonix they were trying to give away corvettes, as they had run out of mid range cars. Unfortunately there were 4 of us, but there were lots of very happy looking blokes wandering around the car lot!
